On this World Mental Health Day, Battl Victory Records takes pride in being the first and only record label to explore the profound connection between music and mental health—long before it became a focus for others. While many industries and labels were yet to recognize the importance of mental well-being, we were already on the path of discovering how music could be a tool for emotional healing.
Pioneering Music for Mental Health
Battl Victory Records stood alone in addressing mental health at a time when no one was paying attention to the well-being of people, including musicians. We asked ourselves: how does music affect the mind and body? How can it help with anxiety, ADHD, sleep disorders, and more?
In 2020, we launched Sleepy Polar Bear, a project born from collaboration with doctors, therapists, and medical institutions. Initially, we focused on creating calming, frequency-specific music for babies and young children. As it turned out, adults found solace in the music too, proving that the benefits of these compositions extended far beyond their original audience.
Expanding the Vision
What started as music for babies quickly expanded into a broader mission. This year, we released a new EP, made in collaboration with medical professionals, designed for people of all ages. Battl Victory Records continues to lead the way in exploring how music can be a vital part of mental health care.
As the first label to take this initiative, we remain committed to improving mental health through sound. Our work has always been—and continues to be—about making a real difference in people’s lives, one song at a time.
